Houston home sales are expected to hit a new annual record in 2014 over last year. If you’ve been predicting a slowdown you may want to check your real estate crystal ball and think again. Don’t listen to the Negative Nelly or Debbie Downer… the numbers speak for themselves.
“For the record: Houston home sales hit an annual record in 2013 with 73,232 sales. RealtyNewsReport predicts annual home sales in 2014 will surpass the 2013 total. Houston’s home sales in 2014 will set a new annual sales record.” The Houston Association of Realtors has reported that homes sales were up 8.3% in February compared to February 2013.
Houston is still going strong… exceptionally strong! We have job growth, corporate relocation and population growth to thank for such a strong economy and red-hot real estate housing market.

“Houston’s home sales grew by 1.7 percent year-on-year in January, an increase for the 32nd consecutive month, a report released on Tuesday showed.”
Centered around a brand new campus that will become Exxon-Mobil’s new headquarters.
“Energy is our newest and most growing area of business. We are becoming another energy corridor here,” said Karen Hoyleman with The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce.
